FIFA World Cup Tickets Arrived!

Thursday, May 15, 2014
Our tickets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup group stage matches arrived in the mail today!

It has been months of waiting for these to show up - and now they are finally here!

The tickets provide us with access to the following four group stage matches:

Uruguay  vs. Costa Rica  , Fortaleza

Japan  vs. Greece  , Natal

Italy  vs. Costa Rica  , Recife

Bosnia-Herzegovina  vs. Iran  , Salvador

The last tickets we have purchased through FIFA is for the 1/8 Final in Salvador. These tickets however must be collected at a ticket collection stand in Brazil.

World Class Players
We tried getting tickets for matches with Brazil playing, but the demand was too high. Instead we aimed for exciting locations and teams with star quality players. Here are some of the stars we will be watching this summer:

Uruguay has a deadly trio up front, worth looking out for. The veteran Diego Forlán (Cerezo Osaka), Edison Cavani (PSG) and last but not least this years Premier League Topscorer Luis Suarez (Liverpool). That is one deadly trio to have in one team and we are sure excited to watch these three strikers play.

Japan vs. Greece sounds like a boring constellation but Japan has a few stars to look out for. First of all, there is Shinji Kagawa (Man. U.), but also Hondo (AC Milan).

Italy of course is a team filled with stars. Super Mario aka. Mario Balotelli (AC Milan) will be the one putting the ball into the back of the net for Italy this summer. The one connecting this team is the always cool Andrea Pirlo (Juventus). And the last man standing is Buffon who played 139 caps for the blue.

Bosnia-Herzegovina has Edin Džeko (Man. C.) who played a phenomenal season and has just become Premier League Champion with his squad from Manchester City.

Iran, Greece and Costa Rica are not bad teams, but they do not dispose of World Class Players like the other teams do.

1/8 Final
At the 1/8 Final in Salvador the winner of Group H will be facing second place from Group G.

Most likely to win Group H must be Belgium - but Russia could be a serious contender to win the group as well. Algeria and Korea Republic are not teams to be counted out - they are gonna fight for every point.

The second place from Group G is a tough one to predict. Germany must be the most likely to win the group which leaves Portugal, USA and Ghana to fight for second place. Cristiano Ronaldo (R. Madrid) might do the difference to ensure Portugal a spot in the 1/8 Final.

No matter who is gonna face each other at the 1/8 Final in Salvador, it is going to be one hell of a knock-out match - as the winner moves on to the Quarter Finals!
