Singapore Zoo and Other Sights of Singapore City

After three absolutely stunning days of Formula 1, I spend my last two days in Singapore having a look at the things I felt I missed out on during my first sightseeing tour around the city.

Singapore Zoo was the best zoo I have ever visited. You seem to almost forget that you're inside an animal resort and not out in the wilderness, as some of the animals roam freely around the park. The range of animals is unbelievable. Among the those on display you'll find elephants, lions, giraffes, apes, monkeys, zebras, polar bears, penguins, otters and a white tiger and that's not even all of them. A ticket is only for the Singapore Zoo is only SG$ 25, but there's other add-on option that costs more; among them a night safari, which I didn't have time to try out. Also if you want to see the pandas, you'll have to get a ticket for one of the other parks.

Besides the zoo, which was the best attraction I visited in Singapore, not counting the Formula 1 race weekend of course, I also went by the Chinatown area, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Gardens by the Bay.
Chinatown was a small touristed area filled with cheap souvenirs, along side with cheap local food and a some Chinatown-decorations hanging across the rather narrow streets.
Marina Bay Sands Hotel got even more impressive once I got closer to the astonishing architectural construction, which will make you feel a bit dizzy just by looking up at it.
Gardens by the Bay was beautiful, but nothing special really - but as the sun went down and the lights turned on, the gardens gained a little more of my appreciating, yet I would rather spend another day in Singapore Zoo. To enter the domes or walk on the bridge between the light-trees you'll have to pay.

Singapore definitely has some cool attractions, but it's expensive. Don't expect Asian prices - if you do your budget will have the roof blown off of in an awful expensive escalate of dollars and empty wallets. Lastly I would like to clarify that no animal were harmed in the making of this blog post...
