One of the most prominent lakes of Udaipur is Lake Pichola, which is located right in the heart of the city.
Taj Lake Palace or simply the Lake Palace formerly a winter palace for the royal but today a luxury hotel, which lies right in the middle of the lake. The Lake Palace served in the James Bond movie, Octopussy, as Maud Adams' hideout.

Besides delivering astonishing views over the city, the sunsets here are impeccable. Standing here while the sun sets, gives a feeling of being at Sugar Loaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

After a good night's sleep, get up early before the sun wakes. At
Banjara Hostel you'll be awarded with the advantage of rooftop views towards the sunrise, as the city of Udaipur wakes up.
