Fifa Fan Fest in Fortaleza - Brazil vs. Croatia
FIFA Fan Fest in Fortaleza, Brazil. We arrived before almost everyone else at the beautiful Iracema Beach which would late host thousands of people for the opening game of the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
With nobody else around we decided, that we might as well follow the 2014 trend and take a selfie.
We spend the day walking the beach visiting the different workshops. Our favorite was definitely the Sony Workshop - they had bean bags and Brazilian girls.
Thousands of people gathered to watch Brazil play against Croatia in the opening game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The vibe at Iracema Beach was intense and filled with excitement towards the upcoming World Cup.
Croatia were off to a flying start and they took the lead as Marcelo made an unfortunate own goal. The crowd at Iracema became silent.
But as Neymar hit the post and the ball went in, a roar with the loudness of a plane taking off bursted out among the thousands of viewers in the crowd!
Neymar scored another goal as Fred was given a penalty - and Oscar sealed the deal with a goal to 3-1. The Brazilian fans got what they asked for.
Hopefully the Brazilian team will deliver what their fans are demanding. Retribution from 1950.
We are rooting for Brazil to take home the trophy yet again. Go Brazil!
