Crossing the French Alps
My dad and I spent a couple of days exploring the mountains in the French Alps by car. We drove to the top of Col du Telegraphé for a quick drink, before we headed to Valloire for ice cream.
From there, there's only one way to La Grave, which is across Col du Galibier. Back in 2011, we watched the Tour de France on Col du Galibier, where Andy Schleck won the stage. This year Galibier had been removed from the race, due to some mountain slides further west.
The enormousness of the mountains will never seize to amaze me. Nature truly is a never-ending book of beautiful and frightening pages.
